Before and After
Photo GalleryBreast Augmentation Through Botox?
The plastic surgery community has been known to explore and introduce forward thinking approaches to plastic surgery that can serve as an adjunct to plastic surgery treatment or an alternative option for those that do not otherwise qualify for a specific plastic surgery procedure such as breast augmentation. Breast augmentation has been traditionally performed through the use of silicone or saline implants or in select cases, tissue expandors. Breast augmentation through fat grafting is one breast augmentation alternative that is currently under formal review. Yet, the latest media announcement about breast augmentation is that Botox can be an alternative to breast augmentation. However, the idea about Botox being an alternative to breast augmentation has not undergone a formal investigation.
From Idea to True Breast Augmentation Procedure
For comparative purposes, let’s explore the trail of fat grafting for breast augmentation. Then, take a look at Botox for breast augmentation. While the practice of breast augmentation through fat grafting dates back to many years ago, the methodology is now being more formally investigated through clinical trial. Clinical trials involve members of the plastic surgery community and pre-qualified participants for the trial that are willing to undergo the procedure. The goal of a clinical trial in plastic surgery is to help establish the safety and efficacy of procedure under investigation. The idea of breast augmentation through fat grafting is widely known among plastic surgeons today.
Breast Augmentation Botox Idea
Breast augmentation through Botox is not widely known among plastic surgeons. Though Botox has been used to relieve facial lines, wrinkles and folds, the chance that the plastic surgeon you select will know about breast augmentation through Botox is small. In fact, the Botox procedure itself is highly technique driven- it requires skill in the technique that is used for the injection. The idea of Botox for breast augmentation has not been reviewed through clinical trial. In essence, the procedure has not passed the test of time. Botox to provide greater breast projection may be accomplished, but the advantage of this temporary improvement has not been measured over time. Perhaps, someday Botox for breast augmentation may compliment traditional breast augmentation results or serve one that does not undergo traditional breast augmentation. Until then, the verdict of breast augmentation through Botox is not out.
